- Description
- NAVSEA Indian Head, Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md. is intending to award a firm fixed price (FFP) contract for a new Access Control Systems (ACS) for the National Drug Intelligence Center (NDIC). The ACS is to include all necessary hardware, software, firmware, communication capabilities and ancillary equipment and services to electronically secure and monitor doors. Necessary access cards will be supplied by a 3rd party logical access vendor. Cards must/will be HID Proximity and MIFARE Cards (HID Format 10302 Model 1386. A 37-bit format with no facility code). The Proximity portion will be a 37-bit format. Along with the MIFARE contact-less smart chip; these cards will also include a contact-base smart chip for use with 3rd party middle-ware for logical Windows 2000/XP-network access. All physical access control system equipment and hardware must be compatible wit h this card format. NDIC floors and offices are located in two buildings. One building is located in Johnstown Pa and one is located in Tyson Corner VA. Statement of work, which will list specific requirements, will be included in the solicitation. This commercial acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The applicable North American Industrial classification System (NIACS) code is 334290. The FSC code is 5810. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation notices and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.neco.navy.mil. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned site regularly for any updates/amendments to any a nd all documents. All prospective offers must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. In accordance with FAR Clause 5.207(d)(2)(xv), all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the Government's ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
