Description

The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS)), has a requirement for Waste Removal Service for the Animal Import/Export facility from October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003. A fixed-price purchase order, for four (4) 20 yard dumpsters with pick up once a week, F.O.B. Destination, USDA, APHIS, VS, 5600 NW 36th Street, (Room 560), Miami Florida 33166. NAICS code 562111. This is a firm fixed-price contract. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial items regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporated provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference. ALL RESPONSIBLE SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTATION FOR CONSIDERATION. Award will be made to the lowest priced responsible offeror. Quotations are due by September 5, 2002, 2:00 PM local time and can be faxed to 612-370-2136 followed by hard copy by mail. Referenced FAR clauses can be accessed for review on the Internet at the following web site: http://www.arnet.gov/far. All offers must be signed. Offers should include tax payer identification number, Duns Number and Business Size. Specifications provide four (4) dumpsters at the facility at all times. Two (2) at the Import Center and Two (2) at the Export Center. Pick up of dumpsters to be once a week. Waste materials consist of straw and hay, manure, used bedding inside shipping containers, etc. The number of dumpsters may fluctuate, depending on the number of animals that go through the facility.
