Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology intends to procure on a sole source basis with EEI Communications, Inc. for additional report editing services, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Source Reasonably Available. A competitively awarded standing order for report editing services was previously issued and the need exists to amend the award with additional funding to enable completion for the editing of Office of Technology Policy (OTP) reports currently in the process of being reviewed and marked up. This is a sole source procurement as the incumbent contractor has been editing annual OTP reports and is uniquely familiar with the subject matter and content style and has begun the editing process for a number of reports which must completed by the same reviewer. A modification will be issued to the Purchase Order on or about 08/30/02 and the performance period will be extended up to 12 mos. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competition. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available.
