- NA Our requirement is to obtain a discrete, self-contained, PC based tape duplication device that is capable of duplicating multiple bit-for-bit tapes concurrently from like-format to like-format and from one format to another. For example: We might need to b e able to duplicate a set of DLT tapes while simultaneously copying a DDS3/4 tape to an AIT II formatted tape, and copying a second DLT tape to a DDS 3/4 format. The duplication device must be able to do ALL of the following: 1. Be capable of bit level duplication of a master tape to one or more target tapes simultaneously 2. Be able to copy to a target tape of differing physical tape format 3. System must perform 100% verification of all copies made 4. Duplication software must run under MS NT/Win2K 5. Must support 4 each DDS3/4, 2 each DLT7000, and 2 each LTO drives. Drive cabinet must have room for future addition of extra drives. The Defense Contracting Command - Washington (DCC-W), on behalf of the Network and Systems Administration Team, is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented wi th additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are hereby being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is Request For Quotation DASW01-02-T-0070. Quotes / Proposals need to lay out how proposed equipment meets EACH of the requirements stated above, any upgrades avail able, multi-license discounts, and license upgrades. No oral quotes will be honored. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed price contract / purchase order, resulting from this solicitation, to the responsible offeror offering the lowest overall pri ce and meeting ALL requirements listed in the description above.
