- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR PART 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Request for Quote number is DTCG-02-Q-410072 and will be available on ARSC website http://www.uscg.mil/hq/arsc/index.htm. This action will be processed using simplified acquisition procedures. This Request for Quotation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) Code is 334511. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The requirement consists of the following items to be utilized on the Coast Guard HH65 as ground support. Statement of Need: The Coast Guard proposes to buy an estimated quantity of fifteen (15); portable VOR/ILS/MB (Variable Omni Range/Instrument Landing System/Marker Beacon) ramp test sets with the following salient characteristics. The equipment shall permit with one-man operation. ICAO Annex 10 CAT III ILS ramp check certification of the aircrafts VOR, ILS and MB systems. The equipment shall have a minimum of dual VOR/LOC/GS frequencies, and separate and simultaneous MB/ILS capability. The equipment shall be capable of operating from nominal commercial, military, and shipboard power sources of 115/230 volts AC at line frequencies 50 to 60 HZ. The equipment shall be capable of operating on the flight line away from an external AC power source with an internal DC source. DC power shall be supplied by an internal, recharagable storage battery. The rechargeable batteries shall have the capability of operating the unit with full performance for a period of not less than 8 hours over a temperature range of ?30C to + 50c degrees. The equipment shall have the capability to recharge the batteries with an internal charging circuit, with simultaneous fill operation using the external AC power source. Acceptance Requirements: Shall be in accordance with the commercial item description, specifications and other criteria listed in the minimum specifications. The contractor shall only tender for acceptance those items that conform to the requirements of this contract. The Government reserves the right to inspect or test any supplies or services that have been tendered for acceptance. The Government may require repair or replacement of nonconforming supplies or reperformance of nonconforming services at no increase in contract price.
