Description
IT Trade Mission to Mexico, November 4-7, 2002 The Software Information Industry Association (SIIA) and the U.S. Department of Commerce will lead an IT trade mission to Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara, Mexico on November 4-7, 2002. The mission is open to U.S. companies that develop computer software, produce hardware and telecommunications equipment, provide systems integration, Internet services, and e-commerce applications. The mission will include customized one-on-one meetings, networking events, and business briefings designed to help mission participants enter or expand their presence in the Mexican market. The mission fee is $3,500 (additional company participants/US $250 each). The application deadline is September 15, 2002. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis after completion of the mission application. Mexico is one of the United States? most significant trading partners and frequently one of the first overseas markets, along with Canada, tackled by U.S. companies. With close to 100 million people, a per capita GDP of $5,000, and a free trade agreement that has opened the market for U.S. products and services, Mexico is an attractive market for computer hardware and software, e-commerce and digital content companies ready to venture into overseas markets. For more information on the Mexican market for these products, please visit our web site at www.ExportIT.ita.doc.gov. For more details on the mission, contact Robin Gaines at robin_Gaines@ita.doc.gov, or call 202-482-3013, or visit the SIIA website at http://www.siia.net/divisions/global/trademissions/tmmexico.html to complete the mission application.
