Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 421850. The size standard is 500 employees. The contractor shall provide the following items OR EQUAL: (0001) Isotherm Cool jacket banox vest set of 4 each pack #99600, 24 packs. Engineered to maintain a constant 55 degree Fahrenheit and provide cooling for approximately 2 ? hours. Uses an interchangeable front/back cool pack system and is fully adjustable for sizing; (0002) CDS detector kit / Drager, 2 kits. Each kit contains two CDS sets for detection of eight chemical substances, including nerve, blood, lung, nose, and throat irritating agents. Requires no power supply. Provides on-the-spot results in 5 minutes with no warm-up time, no calibration, minimal training, no filters to replace and with minimal training; (0003) TMX 412 gas monitor, 1 each. Continuous monitoring of up to four gases, interchangeable toxic gas sensors, one-button auto calibration, optional datalogging and industrial hygiene functions, interchangeable battery packs, NICAD, lithium, alkaline battery power sources. Case made of Type 304 stainless steel, sensors for combustible gases/methane, catalytic diffusion oxygen and toxic gases, electrochemical. Temperature range ?4 degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity range from 0 to 99% RH; (0004) Hand pump with 10 foot hose, 1 each; (0005) 3 foot probe, 1 each; (0006) Calibration kit, CO, H2S, O2, Pentane (58L), 1 each. Must be compatible with the gas monitor; (0007) Decon shower, 2 each. Shower specifications include 1 ? inch PVC shower that is collapsible and portable complete with canvas duffle bag. Shower must be reusable and set up in minutes; (0008) Responder ensemble suit, size large, 2 each. NFPA1991 compliant ensemble with front entry. Total encapsulating ensemble with aluminized overcover and large-view 40 mil PVC face shield with 5 mil Teflon overlay, expanded back, 2 exhaust valves, 48? PVC zipper, double-sealed seams, double storm flap, attached sock boots with boot flap, attached gloves. Overcover is aluminized fiberglass with front entry, expanded back, 1 exhaust valve, storm flap, large-view 10 mil FEP Teflon face shield, 48? polyester zipper, and elastic wrists and ankles; (0009) Responder ensemble suit, size X-large, 4 each. NFPA 1991 compliant ensemble with front entry. Total encapsulating ensemble with aluminized overcover and large-view 40 mil PVC face shield with 5 mil Teflon overlay, expanded back, 2 exhaust valves, 48? PVC zipper, double-sealed seams, double storm flap, attached sock boots with boot flap, attached gloves. Overcover is aluminized fiberglass with front entry, expanded back, 1 exhaust valve, storm flap, large-view 10 mil FEP Teflon face shield, 48? polyester zipper, and elastic wrists and ankles; (0010) Responder ensemble suit, size XX-large, 4 each. NFPA1991 compliant ensemble with front entry. Total encapsulating ensemble with aluminized overcover and large-view 40 mil PVC face shield with 5 mil Teflon overlay, expanded back, 2 exhaust valves, 48? PVC zipper, double-sealed seams, double storm flap, attached sock boots with boot flap, attached gloves. Overcover is aluminized fiberglass with front entry, expanded back, 1 exhaust valve, storm flap, large-view 10 mil FEP Teflon face shield, 48? polyester zipper, and elastic wrists and ankles; (0011) ZUMRO inflatable DECON shelter, 1 each. Shelter should have a closed system airframe construction, 128 square feet of covered work space, external airframe with field replaceable canopy, three removable compartments and shower stall, multiple inflation methods (electric inflator, air bottle, compressor), able to be customized to suit special requirements; (0012) Two-way in-suit communication system (intrinsically safe) SR65I radio accessory with ear speaker, 12 each. Radio accessory must be compatible with any respirator, breathing apparatus or encapsulated suit and connect to most radios. The design should be comfortable and ergonomic, waterproof and dust tight, rugged and easy to use. Equipment must be adaptable to explosive environments and work in all types of weather conditions. Batteries must not be required for operation. 5 mv to 100 mv peak output level, rated up to 12 v dc, 300 to 3000 hz high frequency loss compensated for, single dynamic element throat microphone; (0013) Interface cable for the Motorola XTS 3000, 12 each; (0014) Intrinsically safe Motorola XTS 3000-III portable radio package, Astro digital XTS 3000 LTD Keypad UHF Motorola Multi- charger H38, add smartZone system package, Q806, CAI Operation (Proj 25 STD) Option, 6 each. Radio must have a full keypad to provide optimal flexibility, 255 channels, large display, programmable softkeys, unlimited dialing from keypad, and be used for digital or analog networks; (0015) Motorola rechargeable battery NICAD Ultra Hi Cap, 6 each. Delivery shall be 15 November 2001 and FOB Destination to Building 5595 at Lackland AFB, TX. The provision at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, is applicable to this acquisition. Award will be made to responsible quoter based on lowest price.
