Description
NA The United States Army Communication and Electronics Command (CECOM) intends to procure twenty five (25) Transmitter Modules, NSN 5820-01-112-0204, using a Firm Fixed Price, one (1) year requirements contract with one (1) 100% option. The Solicitation for this buy will be posted on the Interactive Business Opportunity Page (IBOP), on 2002SEP09. Bidding will occur through a Reverse Auction, scheduled to occur on 2002OCT15. The Transmitter Modules are military-unique items, and shall be produced in strict conformance with Government-Furnished technical data. The provided technical data may require compatibility corrections, referred to as Production Evaluation (PE) Compatibility corrections, to improve production efficiency. The contractor shall continua lly review the technical data to identify and propose correction for all PE compatibility discrepancies. If the contractor identifies such PE corrections, they will submit PE Compatibility Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in accordance with the Stateme nt of Work (SOW). This review will commence during the production and quality planning phase and continue through the pre-production, production, inspection and testing phases of the proposed contract. The contractor shall perform First Article Testing (FAT) in accordance with FAR 52.209-3 and the SOW. They will submit a First Article Qualification Test Plan, and supply First Article Test Reports. The U.S. Army CECOM has established the IBOP website as part of the Army?s Single Face to Industry, to a llow electronic posting of Solicitations for Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitation for Bids (IFBs) from CECOM to Industry. All parties who are interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive, information from the IBOP at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. You may access potential CECOM Business Opportunities by simply selecting CECOM Comm.-Elec. Comm.-Active, under the heading ARMY SOLICITATIONS, Logon & View by Army Contracting Activity, and then click on GO. You can register for a user ID and Password under USER SERVICES, New User Registration, on the right side of the screen. Offerors wishing to participate in the Reverse Auction shall follow the instructions stated in the Solicitation, which describe the da te, time, and how the Reverse Auction will occur. See Note 1.
