Description
The National Park Service, Department of the Interior, is soliciting proposals for contractors having the capability to perform the work described below. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued electronically on or about 9/6/02, on the Department of Interior's national Business Center (NBC) website, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this RFQ will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the NBC site. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific RFQ at http://ideas/nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the website for all information relevant to this RFQ. Prospective vendors will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. The work of this contract shall include, but is not limited to: Service park-owned chemical toilets, which are to be pumped, cleaned, and supplied with deoderant, toilet paper and a minimum of 5 gallons of water. Period of performance is 10/01/2002 through 09/30/2003, with four option years. Unit of issue "ea" refers to "pump". Service 28 toilets twice weekly on Monday & Friday from 10/01/02 thru 12/31/02 and from 3/03/03 thru 6/13/03 and from 9/08/03 thru 9/30/03. Service dates include holidays. No service during January and February. 28 toilets x 63 pumps = 1764. Service 28 toilets 3 x weekly on Sunday, Monday and Friday from 6/15/03 - 9/5/03. Service dates include holidays. 28 toilets x 36 pumps = 1008 pumps. Service 23 toilets once weekly on Thursdays from 10/03/02 - 12/31/02 and 03/01/03 - 09/30/03. Service dates include holidays. Total of 23 toilets x 43 pumps = 998 pumps. All refuse is to be disposed of by contractor from site. Refuse such as soiled toilet paper, cans, bottles, etc., are not to be littered around site. Vehicles must not exceed 15 MPH on towpath. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561720. The size standard is $3.5 million.
