Description

The work includes all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to clean and inspect Day Tank F-8 at the Naval Air Station Oceana. Clean and formally inspect interior and exterior of an 840,000-gallon day tank (F-8) located at NAS Oceana. This day tank is used to store JP-5 fuel. Provide a written report (three hardcopies and an electronic copy on a (CD) to the Contracting Officer of repairs and upgrades required. Electronically, the report shall be in MS Word or Adobe Acrobat format. MS Word is preferred but not essential. Any and all pictures will be taken digitally, and, even though provided in the body of the report, shall be provided as individual JPEG files on the CD. Attach these reports and CD to the invoice for the work. This is a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns. The work is located at the Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561990 with a size standard of $5M. For technical questions concerning this notice, please submit to the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction Officer at facsimile (757) 433-2423, ATTN: CAROLYN SULLA. Plans and specifications will be available on the approximate date of 8/27/02. Quotes will be opened 9/6/02. THE CONTRACTOR MUST REGISTER ON LINE WITH E-SOL TO RECEIVE THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATION/BID PACKAGE. OFFERORS INTERESTED IN OBTAINING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS PROJECT CAN DOWN LOAD THE SOLICITATION FROM THE E-SOL WEB SITE AT www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE IN THE CONTRACTS OFFICE. PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD OF THE CONTRACT. BIDDERS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE MAY RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD.
