Description
The USCG Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for the following: 1) Shore-Tie Plug, Cavotec Part Number PC4-TX04-0700 or equal, Quantity 51 each. 2) Socket/Appliance Inlet, Cavotec Part Number PC4-WX04-S350 or equal, Quantity 57 each. Or Equal items must have the following salient characteristics: Socket & Plug must be currently in production and must be available for at least 2 years from issuance of order & waterproof to IP66 environmental standards. Socket & plug will be used in a marine environment, watertight to resist humidity but not submerged for prolonged periods. The plug must be secured to the socket with a locking mechanism that will physically prevent the plug from being pulled out. There should be an Electrical interlock to prevent disconnect under load. Plug & Socket must meet IEC 529; DIN 40050 & NFC 20010 protection standards against dust, water & minimum mechanical load. Specifications, Plug & Socket should be Type Size 4 with a total of 4 pins. Support 250 Amps max, 2 phase 60 hz, 450 vac service & 1kv. Plug must accommodate a cable 55mm in diameter. Plug & Socket should be made completely of marine grade material. All connectors to be IP66 compliant when connected interlocked by pilot contacts and manufactured in accordance with NFC 63300 rules. Pin contact should be maintained with minimal force. FOB Destination delivery to USCG ELC Receiving Room, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. Quotation shall include, proposed delivery in days, pricing for items individually packed, marked and bar-coded, the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number. NOTE: Packing, Marking and bar code specifications are available via fax to all interested parties, please contact Mr. Orofino. 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999) If an item in this solicitation is identified as brand name or equal, the purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government?s needs. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that equal products must meet are specified in the solicitation. To be considered for award, offers of equal products, including equal products of the brand name manufacturer, must meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation; Clearly identify the item by(i) Brand name, if any; and(ii) Make or model number; Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer; and Clearly describe any modifications the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modifications. The Contracting officer will evaluate equal products on the basis of information furnished by the offeror or identified in the offer and reasonably available to the Contracting Officer. The Contracting Officer is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the offer. Unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that the product being offered is an equal product, the offeror shall provide the brand name product referenced in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. This is a combined synopsis /solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAR 2001. NAICS code for this solicitation is 336999 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
