Description
SCOPE OF WORK: (1.) On-site Information Technology (IT) technical assistance is required to support a Local Area Network (LAN) at Hill Air Force Base Utah. This LAN is used in support of the DLA Systems Integration Office (DSIO). Contractor will report directly to the DSIO's Computer System Administrator (CSA). (2.) On call support of mission operations will require coverage as follows: 0600 - 1800 normal workdays (30 minute on site response time). 1801 - 0559 normal workdays (two hour on-site response time). 2400 - 1159 weekends and holidays (two-hour on-site response time). (3.) DSIO-U's LAN for purposes of this SOW is defined as including all DSIO-U owned network wiring, hubs, switches, connectors, routers and interfaces beginning at the DSIO-U connection on the DISA router and ending at the network interface card of all DSIO-U end user equipment. (4.) Description of trouble shooting and repair support requirements. (a.) Establish a baseline and then monitor LAN to gather statistical information monthly on bandwidth usage, bottleneck, load balancing, and potential hardware, connectivity, and throughput problems. Monitoring will be aided and accomplished by using sniffer devices or equipment identified in Contractor Responsibilities paragraph 5.a.(6). Provide analysis of these statistics to the CSA monthly in usable, graphical format with recommendations of any actions needed to avoid potential problems. (b.) Provide on-site personnel with the technical expertise to perform the following on DSIO-U LAN: (1) Problem analysis. (2) Problem resolution. (3) Corrective maintenance when required. (4) Coordinate mail-in and return of hardware on warranty or repair contracts. (5) Technical Interface with equipment and warranty repair contractors and board-level hardware repair functions. (6) Monitor the system using necessary hardware and software to identify the problem (ie - sniffer hardware and software). (c.)Install and configure software and hardware upgrades and new or replacement components to DSIO-Us LAN upon request of the CSA. (d.) Change IP and MAC addresses and complete other software configurations changes to DSIO-U LAN components upon request for the CSA on allocated ADPE. (e.) Be aware of manufactures upgrades to hardware and software and notify CSA or designated representative when changes to the LAN component and/or consumable requirements are needed/recommended. Negotiate an acceptable time frame to perform the required changes with the CSA. (f.) Provide analysis of trouble work orders to determine if there are systemic problems. If so, notify the CSA or designated representative to determine and coordinate corrective action. (g.) Manage IT shipping and property accountability records for IT being sent out for contract/warranty repair. (h.) Test hardware upon return from warranty or repair contractor and resolve any conflicts to the end the LAN returns to the proper working order. (i.) Provide system engineering/reengineering support as required by the CSA. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (1) Provide technical knowledge and expertise to perform the requirements of the Scope of Work (SOW). (2) Interface with CSA or other designated individuals. (3) Comply with all Hill AFB, DLA, and DSIO security requirements. (4) Provide a monthly accounting of man-hours used by the contractor to perform SOW to the CSA. (5) Provide monthly statistical data in prescribed format. (6) Provide hardware and software to allow monitoring of the LAN. GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITES: (1) Provide workspace for Contractor personnel at Hill AFB, if required. (2) Provide contractor accesses to telephones. (3) Provide contractor with IT repairs components. (4) Provide contractor with depot contractor badges, as necessary. (5) Provide contractor with access to secured areas, as appropriate to perform the requirement of this contract.
