Description
AMSDPRVA-0002-2 DESCRIPTION: The United States Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Marketing Service, Science Division intends to procure a Pulsed Flame Photometric Detector, Model 5380. 1. The detector must be capable of mounting into the detector port of the GC specified on this request. Options should be available for either the HP-5890 or the Shimadzu 17A GC's. 2. The detector as supplied must include a windows TM based software package for set-up, operation and optimization of the detector parameters. 3. The software must permit the user to change the following detector parameters from the computer. Additionally, the software must be capable of uploading these parameters to the detector controller and stored in both volatile RAM and non-volatile E-proms. These parameters must include all of the following; PMT voltage, ignitor current, triger level, range and attenuation, detector zero, mode type and all gate parameters (start, stop, dual gating factors, etc). 4. The software must provide a real time display showing the waveform of every pulse in the detector. This capability must include the ability to zoom in on various positions of the pulse for closer evaluation. 5. The detector and software must include the ability to have programmable timed events occur involving changes in the detectors operational parameters during an individual chromatographic run. These timed events options should include changes in the following parameters; auto zero, range, attenuation, ignitor current, gate/mode type, record function, and the square root function. 6. The software must provide the capability to record and store all or selected pulse waveforms on the computer hard disk. 7. The detector software package must be capable of running concurrently on the same PC as a Windows-based GC data handling package such as HP's Chemstation. 8. The detector must have the following detector specifications: a. Maximum Detector Temp, 420 degrees C. b. Selectivity (S/C) >10 to the 6 th power, c. Selectivity (p/c) >10 to the 5th power, d. Detectivity for Phosphorous, 0.1 pgP/sec. e. Detectivity for Sulfur< <1 pgS/sec. f. Linear Dynamic Range-Sulfur > ten to the 3rd power. g. Linear Dynamic Range-Phosphorous, >10 to the 4th power. 9. The detector must have two, simultaneous, separately gated, analog outputs (0-1V). 10. Both of the analog outputs must be under software control and be capable of real time mode processing by dual gates for enhanced interheteroatom selectivity, S/P rationing, separate carbon response, element identification, and advanced optimization of the system. 11. Peak smoothing options must include an option of either linear or cubic spline interpolation. 12. The detector controller must provide the following connections: two separate analog (0-1V) outputs, PMT high voltage, ignitor cable, oscilloscope (BNC) connection, serial RS-232, and a GC start signal point. 13. The detector must have the ability to provide a real time linearized Sulfur output which is capable of compesating for DC offset. Delivery shall be made within forty-five (45) days after the award. Offerers will provide warranty, service and repair information for said equipment Please submit quote, to Craig King @ 1510 E. Bannister Rd. Bldg. #7, Kansas City, MO. 64131. Questions will be submitted to Craig R. King, Contracting Officer, USDA/APHIS. Phone Number: (816) 926-1365 or Fax No. (816) 823-4360. E-Mail Address: Craig.King@aphis.usda.gov.
