Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to modify contract number 200-2001-00138 awarded last year on a sole source basis to the National Indian Council on Aging (NICOA), 10501 Montgomery Boulevard, Suite 210, Albuquerque, NM, 87111. The contract modification will add 14 new databases to the Indian Diabetes Atlas developed under this contract which will provide more accurate trending of data. The NAICS code for this requirement is 514191. The scheduled award date is September 16, 2002. Other than full and open competition is authorized pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 2253 (c)(1). QUALIFIED OFFERORS HAVE 14 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS SYNOPSIS TO SUMBIT CAPABILITY STATEMENTS DELINEATING THEIR ABILITY TO PERFORM THIS MODIFICATION. Such qualifications will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to modify the existing contract, or proceed with a new competition. Interested offerors must have: access to the current Indian Diabetes Atlas, which is a Geographic Information System (GIS) application that is internet accessible; access to the data maintained by the IHD Diabetes program; access to update data in the IHD Diabetes program; access to data on all diabetes patients in the Audit database maintained by IHS; and the ability to synthesize IHS audit data with U.S. Census and NCHS mortality data.
