- Description
- The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention through the Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a (12) month sole source simplified acquisition to The National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA), Rockville, Md 20852. The purpose of this simplified acquisition is to provide assistance to substance abuse treatment facilities to provide supportive education for the children (first grade through twelfth grade) of clients and to provide training to national organizations and state agencies that work with substance abuse treatment programs using the Childrens' Program Kit , a practice manual and resource packet of materials for substance abuse treatment providers to use for staff in-services and for children of clients in treatment. This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement in a written narrative format detailing the concern's ability to meet the objectives of this requirement. Capability statement may be sent via fax to (301)443-8488. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA).
