Description

The Immigration and Naturalization Service intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Hoffman Engineering Corporation, 8 Riverbend Drive, P.O. Box 4430, Stamford, CT 06907-0430 for the following item: ANV-126-001 Night Vision Goggle Test Set, which includes AN/AVS-6 goggle adapter, AN/AVS-9 and F4949 adapters gain detector probe, US socket power cord and 12-volt internal battery. The authority for this proposed contract action is FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority cited above. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The synopsis will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site Http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
