Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation No. Q5420020280 is issued as a Request for Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be awarded as a firm-fixed price Order for Commercial Items, using simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 235310; the size standard is $ 11.5 million. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25. The solicitation items are as follows: Contractor will provide materials, equipment and labor for the installation of Fiber Optic Line and Phone Cable At Fort Pulaski National Monument, Savannah, Georgia. This will include the following: 1. Trenching approximately 24" to 30" for 12 pair PE-9 cable 700' and 700' of 6MM Loose Tube Fiber, 25 pair PE89 cable 5100', 12 strand MM fiber loose tube 5100'. 2. There is an existing 2" conduit approximately halfway from the fort to the visitor center. Contractor will provide, install, and connect 800' of 2" conduit to existing conduit. The 1600' of 6 strand MM fiber loose tube will be placed in conduit. 3. Installation of 12 pair PE-9 cable 700', 25 pair PE89 cable 5100', 12 strand MM fiber loose tube 5100', and 6 strand MM fiber loose tube 1600'. 4. Provide cable entrances for the maintenance shop and the historic cottage. 5. The cable entrance into the fort and visitor center already exists. 6. The 6 strand MM fiber loose tube 1600' cable will be installed to loop between the fort ranger office and the visitor center. 7. The 25 pair PE89 cable 5100' and the 12 strand MM fiber loose tube 5100' will be looped from the visitor center to the Historic Cottage. 8. The 700' 12 pair PE89 and 700' 6 MM Loose Tube Fiber and will be installed between the Historic Cottage and the Maintenance Shop. 8. Provide and install interior wiring for LAN, hub, and six computers in historic cottage and CAT 5 wiring for phone system. 10. Provide and install interior wiring for two computers in the Visitor Center and CAT 5 wiring for phone system. 11. Provide and install interior wiring for one computer at the Maintenance Shop and CAT 5 wiring for phone system. 12. Provide and install interior wiring for four computers and CAT 5 for phone system in the Fort Ranger Offices. 13. Contractor will provide and install 3, 24 port CAT 5-patch panels. One at the Visitor Center, one at the Maintenance Shop, and one at the Historic Cottage. 14. Contractor will provide and install gas protectors at all necessary locations. 15. Contractor will make all splices for 12 strand MM loose tube fiber, 25 pair PE89 cable, 6 strand MM loose tube fiber, and CAT 5 wiring required to provide interactive computer and phone service between the Visitor Center, the Fort Ranger Offices, and the Maintenance Shop. 16. Provide and install the necessary hardware and software for 16 LCD speaker phones with a minimum of 18 buttons and 4 port voice mail. Provide complete and user training for phone F.O.B. Point: Destination- Fort Pulaski National Monument. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. The offeror agrees to hold the prices in the offer firm for 60 calendar days from the date specified for the receipt of offers.
