Description
NA The U.S. Army Soldier Biological and Chemical Command, Soldier Systems Center (SBCCOM-SSC) has a requirement for the procurement of the Authorized Stockage List Mobility System (ASLMS). The ASLMS shall use containers that have external dimensions that indi vidually or configured together conform to an American National Standards Institute/International Organization for Standardization (ANSI/ISO) 8-foot by 8-foot by 20-foot envelope. The containers will be ANSI/ISO compatible in terms of fittings, features, and dimensions for height, length, and width. Container heights shall not exceed 96 inches. The ASLMS will consist of modular containers with internal storage devices configured to meet individual supply support activity (SSA) storage needs. Containers include parts storage containers with modular internal storage devices and bulk storage containers with adjustable rack storage systems, hazardous material (HAZMAT) spill containment devices, and/or multiple-level flooring. The system will have the abilit y to operate in garrison and field environments in either an uploaded mode using the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck-Load Handling System (HEMTT-LHS) or similar vehicle/Palletized Load System (PLS) trailer or ground-based mode. This commercial acqu isition will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside and will be conducted as a best value procurement. The applicable codes are Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) 3443/North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 332439 and size standard is 500 employees. The Government expects to award a Requirements contract consisting of an eighteen (18) month Basic Ordering Period and four (4) One-year Optional Ordering Periods for a total not to exceed 66 months. Depending upon the availability of fund s, it is the intent of the Government to procure approximately 32 systems consisting of 256 containers during the life of the contract. The contract will also provide the Spare and Repair Parts necessary to support the ASLMS. There is no minimum or maximum for the Spare and Repair Parts. A representative sample of the commercially available product which is being proposed to meet the minimum performance requirements in the Purchase Description along with a commercial service and maintenance manual must be available for viewing by the Government upon submission of the Request for Proposal. A Technical Manual, Training Materials, and Provisioning Data will also be required after award of contract. The Solicitation and applicable technical documentation will be posted on the Acquisition Center’s web site, https://www3.natick.army.mil, on or about April 12, 2002.
