Description

NA CONTACT CARMEN BOSSONE, LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, WEAPON SYSTEM MANAGER, 732-532-3051. This is a market survey to locate sources who can supply a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) hand held Global Positioning System (GPS) with an 8 digit grid. Units must be available on the open market for a period of three years after initial purchase. Units will be supportable for a period of three years after initial purchase and carry a one-year manufacturers warranty with an option for an additional three-year w arranty to begin upon expiration of the one-year warranty. Upgrades shall be backward compatible. The contractor will provide training and manuals, if necessary. The government does not have any drawings/specifications for this item. Suppliers capable o f furnishing this system must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USACECOM; ATTN: AMSEL-LC-SA-COM (Carmen Bossone); Building 1208; Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response should include documentation such as a copy of purchase order if the supplier wa s a vendor to the listed source. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
