- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20001213. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (The award will be less than $100,000) will be followed. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3826. Small business size standard is 500. NAICS is 334516. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) is seeking sources for the anticipated purchase of the following three items. *(1) One (1) High Performance Mid-Range Travel Linear Stages. Salient characteristics include: Travel range (mm) 250, screw mounted rotary encoder, 4,000 pts/rev, index pulse, DC servo motor UE404S2, extruded aluminum body, 3 m long cable, minimum 20,000 hours MTBF, recirculating ball bearings, backlash-free ball screw, backlash-free ball screw drive mechanism, drive-screw pitch (mm) 2, optical limit switches, rigid cover and flexible side bands protection, and origin optical, at center of travel. *(2) Two (2) Dc HI Rot, RV120HAHLT, Precision Rotation Stages, used in high-load, high-speed applications. Salient characteristics include: Diameter 120mm, motor size UE404S-T, travel range of +/- 170degree, resolution 0.0001degree, maximum speed 16(degree/s), uni-directional repeatability 0.0002degree, reversal value (hysteresis) 0.001degree, 0.005degree absolute accuracy, wobble 3 point at 120degree mounting (urad) 30, wobble 5 point mounting on a flat plane <5 um (urad) 20, load characteristic of Cz (N) 1800 and a(mm) 40, b(mm)71, k alpha (3 point mounting)(urad/Nm) 2.5, k alpha (5 point mounting)(urad/Nm) 1.5, double row of ball bearings, ground worm gear with self compensating preload drive mechanism, worm gear ratio 1:90, reduction gear, feedback direct reading optical encoder on rotating platen, optical limit switches, cable, origin, vacuum compatibility, minimum 20,000 hours MTBF, and stainless steel base material. *(3) One (1) Multi Axis Motion Controller Driver, Multi Axis High Performance Motion Controller Driver. Salient characteristics include: Number of axes, 1-8 axes, Computing Power of 500W motor drive power, 80 bit, AMD 5X86, 133MHz microprocessor, digital PID-FF servo loop, with pre-calculated velocity and acceleration feed forward. Motion to include trapezoidal and s-curve velocity profile, synchronized and non-synchronized point to point, jogging, continuous moves, 8D linear interpolation, 2D circular interpolation, master slave(s), electronic gearing on any axis, on the fly changes of target position, speed, acceleration, PID. Contouring to include 2D contouring with trajectory pre-check. External Event Synchronization to include, on the fly data acquisition of up to 8 position counters and 4 analog channels per servo cycle, trigger output on axis position and distance interval, command execution depending on TTL/ I/O status. Operating Modes to include real-time command execution via computer interfaces, stand alone execution of stored programs, front panel manual motion command execution, and analog joystick. Programming to include 150+ intuitive, 2 letter ASCII commands, command set to include, manipulation of variables, conditional jumps, do while operations, if/then/else statements, wait for routines, tell status commands, front panel key and display programming, user defined units, software limits, home search (with and without top zero), backlash compensation. Software Drivers to include Communication DLL for Windows 95/98/NT, basic drivers and sample programs for LabView 5.1, Terminal program and PID tuning software compatible with Windows 95/98/NT. Computer interfaces to include RS-232-C, IEEE-488-1, RS-485. I/O to include 8 opto isolated TTL inputs, 8 open collector TTL outputs, 4 channel 12 bit analog input with programmable ranges: +/-5V, +/-10V, 0-5V or 0-10V, Watchdog timer and remote interlock. Memory to include 32 kB Flash non-volatile user program memory, data storage buffer for up to 4000 lines and 8 MB flash non volatile firmware memory. Front panel display to include backlit LCD display (240 x 64 res) 6 lines times 30 characters, active viewing area of 40 mm times 130 mm, with adjustable brightness and contrast. DC Motor to include closed loop operation only, precision 16 bit DAC resolution and 25 MHz max encoder input frequency. Stepper Motor Control to include full and micro step capable, open or closed loop operation, and 1 MHz max pulse rate. Total Available Motor Power to include 500W for max power consumption of driven stages. Power requirements to include 90-264 V, 50/60 Hz with PFC (power factor corrector) 100 VA motors off, 570 VA motor on. Dimensions (W x D x H) 19 x 15.6 x 5.28 in. (483 x 395 x 134 mm) + 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) bottom and upper clearance required and maximum weight max of 8 kg. *Minimum salient characteristics have been provided above.
