Description

This is a combined synopsis /solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued.Solicitation number 370018 is being issued on a sole source basis to Ascential Software Corporation. The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 5045 and the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code is 421430. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to issue a purchase order for the following Integrity software to include upgrading one existing Integrity Batch License and two existing Real Time Licenses from NT to UNIX. Purchasing Integrity Run Time/Batch License Unix 2nd License Version 4.0 (To include a discount for the purchase of the second license), Forty (40) hours of consulting services, One (1) week of on site training for up to six (6) students, and Maintenance Service on the License products. The following FAR Clauses shall apply to this solicitation 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Electronic Funds Transfer, and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes for Executive Orders-Commercial Items. All responsible sources that can provide and meet the above requirements shall submit written quotations by the due date referenced above. The award is being issued on a sole source basis because the equipment is proprietary to the contractor with no resellers.
