- Description
- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the Institute for College Research Development and Support/University Research Support System, Silver Spring, MD 20910. The purpose of this procurement is to examine the number of Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) program participants that enter and graduate from health professionals school. No other organization or association has developed the necessary linkages with minority institutes of higher education, and health professions schools enrolling significant number of minority or disadvantaged students. The Institute for College Research Development and Support/ University Research Support System is the only organization that has this network, contacts and infrastructure to accomplish the proposed activities of this acquisition. Therefore, the Institute for College Research Development and Support/University Research Support System is the only responsible source without substantial duplication of cost to the Government under authority 41 U.S.C. 253(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). This requirement will be awarded under FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated period of performance is for a twelve (12) month period. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541611. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file. Fifteen (15) days from the date of the issuance of this notice, the Contracting Officer will proceed to issue a purchase order in accordance with the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) to the Institute for College Research Development and Support/University Research Support System.
