- Description
- The U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration on behalf of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration intends to enter into a 5 year, cost sharing, cost reimbursable sole source award with the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI). The purpose is U.S. fatal truck and bus crash data collection, research, analysis and an annual final report, in addition to undertaking advanced complex analysis of the data and providing analytical briefs. The proposed contract is a sole award based on UMTRI?s unique expertise and capabilities as a research institution in fatal truck and bus crash research. In the performance of the contract, UMTRI will be using a series of proprietary crash data analysis software applications. See note 22.
