Description

The Airborne Separation Video Program at the Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD 20670 has a requirement for Airborne Separation Video System (ASVS) components and assemblies consisting of: CLIN 0001 ? DRS P/N 2022262-001 Multi-System Controller (MSC), 12 Each; CLIN 0002 ? DRS P/N 2023505-002, Long term Test Capability (LTTC)/Redlake High Speed Digital Interface (HSDI) Card, 25 Each; CLIN 0003 ? DRS P/N 2022434-001, MSC Disk Drive Assembly, 25 Each; CLIN 0004 ? DRS P/N 3061922-001, LTTC/Personal Computer Interface (PCI) Cable, 25 Each. The Government contemplates and Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract. The ordering period will be for one (1) year. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with DRS Technologies, Inc., 133 Bauer Drive, Oakland, NJ 07436. This requirement is is being procured under statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. DRS Technologies is the sole developer and manufacturer of the existing ASVS. This equipment must interface with the unique data controls and data buses of the ASVS. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. This statement should include company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, email address and company product literature. All capability statements received by 2:30 PM, Eastern Standard Time, 23 August 2002 in response to this notice will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement as a sole source action based on the responses received.
