- National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to award a Contract for the procurement of curatorial services and historical paintings within the NIMA History Program on a sole source basis to Marylou Gjernes for one base year and four 1-year options. The National Imagery and Mapping Agency proposes this follow-on contract to provide highly specialized services in museum administration working with IAW federal laws and standards; artifact management to include oversight of the NIMA historical properties regulation; related accountability and conservation procedures; provision of a historical art program; and consulting services based on a knowledge of other federal and military museums where NIMA can develop a working relationship. Award to any other source will result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirement. Authority for this sole source procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (d)(1)(B) and FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize they can perform the required services described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer, and provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis. The final determination by the government not to open this requirement to competition based on any information provided is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources will be given full consideration.
