Description
A pre-proposal conference will be held sometime during the week of 9/9/02, in El Paso, Texas. Another amendment will be posted with the exact time and place when it is determined. The CMC services for the New Courthouse in El Paso, Texas is amended as follows: In Stage I Request for Proposals, replace Paragraph?s 1.5. Project Scope, and 1.6. Price Range with the new paragraphs below. 1.5. Project Scope. The proposed U.S. Courthouse will be constructed on a site to be acquired in El Paso, TX. The Contractor shall provide a new courthouse of approximately 231,945 gross square feet (21,548 square meters) with approximately 139,323 occupiable square feet (12,943 square meters) without parking. The U.S. Courts, U.S. District Court Clerk, and the U.S. Marshals Service will occupy the facility. The space will include five (5) District Courtrooms, five (5) Magistrate Courtrooms, one (1) Special Proceeding Courtroom, and their associated supporting spaces, such as judge?s chambers, jury deliberation facilities, jury assembly and grand jury suites, holding cells, etc. Office space will be provided for the other aforementioned tenants. The project will include approximately 60 interior secure parking spaces. It is anticipated that multiple bid packages will be developed, ie, base building and tenant improvement work. 1.6. Price Range. The estimated range of construction cost is $40,000,000 to $50,000,000, which does not include the fees for Pre-construction and Construction Phase Services of construction management services as defined in the Stage II RFP. Congress is expected to furnish construction funds for this project by FY 2004.
