Description
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) intends to issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to: IconMedialab, Suite 155, 21355 Ridgetop Circle, Dulles, VA 21066 as a sole source not to exceed $50,000 to provide Information Technology (IT) training as listed. The vendor must be a Rational Partner under the Rational Unified Partner Program. Orders will be placed against this BPA via U.S. Department of Labor Training Authorization and Evaluation Form DL 1-101 (DL 1-101). The vendor will provide the BLS with Rational Software Information Technology (IT) training as required. -- Requirements Management with Use Cases: Provides three days of training in requirements management with use-case modeling techniques. The course focuses on eliciting and managing the changing requirements of a project: analyzing the problem; defining the product vision and product features; defining software requirements and requirement attributes; and maintaining traceability for use in scope management, change management and impact analysis. The course shows how use-case modeling and requirements management techniques can be used to define and document the requirements of a product that meets stakeholder needs. Students gain an in-depth understanding of use case techniques through hands-on experience developing actual use cases. -- Rational Unified Process (RUP) Workshop: Follow-up to Requirements Management with Use Cases. Incorporates actual student team project examples in workshop exercises. The vendor will develop and deliver training services for the BLS as follows: -- Developing and providing classroom training and seminars in courses in the BLS IT training curricula, emerging technologies, software management, and other important IT-related topics; -- Developing and delivering superior course content; -- Providing a BLS on-site library of current course materials; descriptions, outlines and prerequisites; -- Ensuring that course materials reflect current BLS standards. The vendor will provide all services associated with delivering quality training for system developers, analysts, computer specialists, end-users, managers, and project leaders who require a comprehensive understanding of the subject material. The training is to provide participants with new capabilities to significantly improve the way complex systems are analyzed, designed, developed, and implemented.
