- This amendment is to incorporate the questions and answers as a result of the site visit held on September 4, 2002. Also, the RFQ due date has been changed to September 19, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. Site Visit for Security System Upgrade, Question and Answers; (Q.1) You have 5 cameras? (A.1) 5 exterior cameras and 3 in the greenhouses; (Q.2) Cameras are what kind? (A.2) Pan and tilt housing; (Q.3) When were they installed? (A.3) Sep-99; (Q.4) Are all the same age? (A.4) No. One camera is approximately one year old; (Q.5) Do all cameras have a central control room? (A.5) Yes; (Q.6) Are cameras controlled out of communication room or out of server room? (A.6) Server room; (Q.7) Do you have a person to monitor cameras? (A.7) No; (Q.8) Do the cameras record 24 hours a day? (A.8) Yes; (Q.9) How often do you change tapes? (A.9) Every seven days; (Q.10) Will the monitor at front desk see all cameras? (A.10) No, Only the receiving dock; (Q.11) Are you wanting to add other cameras? (A.11) We want to secure the perimeter. Existing cameras can not see everywhere; (Q.12) How many don't pan and tilt? (A.12) Three. These need to be repaired; (Q.13) Are the cameras black and white in the greenhouse? (A.13) Yes; (Q.14) How do the color cameras work at night? (A.14) Not well; (Q.15) Do you want color in the greenhouse? (A.15) Not necessarily, but we don't object to it; (Q.16) Can you operate zoom on the lenses? (A.16) Yes; (Q.17) Are you going to use computer to monitor? (A.17) Possibly, but only on certain computers if we do; (Q.18) Do you have drop ceiling throughout building? (A.18) Yes, with exception to the skylight area; (Q.19) Do you want entrance and exit to lab areas covered? (A.19) No. We are interested in perimeter coverage and not inside the building; (Q.20) Where do cameras come into building at? (A.20) 2" conduit in receiving; (Q.21) Can we use cable trays? (A.21) Yes; (Q.22) What is the power at cameras? (A.22) 110volt/20amp; (Q.23) Do you have other access to the building? (A.23) No, only 3 access areas in mechanical rooms and receiving; (Q.24) How many sets of submittals? (A.24) 3 sets; (Q.25) How many sets of drawings? (A.25) 3 sets; (Q.26) Do you want as-builts? (A.26) Yes; (Q.27) Do you have building plans on disk or set of drawings? (A.27) Drawings, To obtain the one page drawing of the building with the location of the existing cameras, please request in writing either by fax or email. (Q.28) Do you want OM manuals? (A.28) Yes; (Q.29) Do you want training? (A.29) Yes; (Q.30) Can all training be done at one time? (A.30) Yes (Q.31) Do you have place to pick up extra power for cameras? (A.31) Yes; (Q.32) Are you providing utilities? (A.32) We will provide existing electrical panels and spare breakers are available; (Q.33) Does delivery no later than 90 days after receipt of order mean completion within 90 days? (A.33) Yes. If there is a problem with meeting delivery make a note in your proposal; (Q.34) Do we have access to see back of building? (A.34) Yes. You can drive or walk and see the perimeter of the building; (Q.35) Do you allow penetration of wall? (A.35) Brick veneer OK. You may not penetrate the limestone; (Q.36) Is there coax access to the reception desk without surface mounting? (A.36) Yes. Any amendment and documents related to this procurement will be available electronically at the Internet site: http://www.eps.gov. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of these documents (if any). It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the site for release of the solicitation and any related documents.
