Description

NA NSN: 8415-01-478-3517; This solicitation is restricted to ADI Technologies, Incorporated, 1487 Chain Bridge Rd Suite 204, McLean VA 22101 as they are the only known contractor who meets the requirements. In addition, ADI possesses the Technical Data Package (TDP); therefore no government owned TDP is available for the Overvest. In addition, the risk of producing the Overvest to meet OSHA and federal regulatory guidance is such that a new producer may be unable to adhere. The aforementioned contracto r is a small business concern. This proposed action will result in a firm fixed price, three-year requirements type contract with two concurrent 100% options to extend the period of performance. First Article Testing is required. The maximum estimated q uantity is 2,700. FOB is destination. The overvest is a one-size-fits-all vest and has a slide fastener closure down the length of the back for ease of donning and to allow the Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) cylinder to be changed during a mis sion. The arm openings and bottom of the overvest are elastic. The overvest provides splash protection to the SCBA. The overvest is constructed of Lantor/Remploy LR6. The panels are sewn together and taped. The tape is heat sealed on all seams. This item is part of a chemical resistant Improved Toxicological Agent Protective Suit. The overvest is made up of an industrial and chemical warfare agent protective material that provides splash protection for the SCBA. It should allow full range of neck mo tion and should not inhibit full movement of head, neck, and arms. Overvest is used in Mode Level B. NOTE 22 APPLIES
