Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for five I/O Interface Assemblies to be negotiated on a sole source basis with Rockwell Automation Inc. The assemblies will be used where Fiber Optic cables interface with equipment and then convert the Fiber Optic signals to electrical signals. Place of delivery is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Delivery desired by 31 December 2002. The sole source commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 19 Sep 02 with a closing date of 30 Sep 02. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 21 days from this announcement. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to joshua_c_carter@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. This office will maintain no bidder list. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. To be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
