- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a hardcopy solicitation will not be issued. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with JPS Communications Inc. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation Number is USZA22-02-T-0022. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334290 and the Business Size Standard is 750 employees. The proposed contract listed here is 100% Small Business Set Aside. The commercial items to be quoted are: CLIN #0001 ? Quantity ? 72 each, Network Extension Unit, MFR PN: NXU-2. FOB destination is desired not later than 60 Days after receipt of order. Request Delivery/transportation price from Origin to Bluegrass Station, Lexington, Kentucky be separately priced if delivery is other than FOB destination. This requirement is part of a life cycle replacement and will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1. When supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source, or for DOD, from only one or a limited number of sources, and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for. JPS Communications Inc., is the only known responsible source of this specific equipment with the required interface. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note 22. Commercial items applies and includes the following: 52.222-21, 52.222-25, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-19, and 52.225-3. The provision at 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items applies and includes the following: 252.225-7001. The provision at 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside applies with no addenda. Notice: ?The offeror?s attention is directed to the fact that contractor personnel will assist the Government in a contract specialist role for solicitation issuance, proposal receipt and evaluation/analysis. Submission of proposal in response to the solicitation constitutes approval to release the proposal to Government Support Contractors, who have signed Non-Disclosure and Rules of Conduct/Conflict of Interest statements?.
