- The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to VALIN Corporation, 1701 E. Edinger Ave., Bldg J, Santa Ana CA 92705. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business. The NAICS code is 332911. The following item will be procured: CLIN 0001, 43 each - Parker Stainless Steel one-half inch (1/2") Ball valve, 8F-B8LJ2-V-SSP; CLIN 0002, 12 each ? Parker Stainless Steel, Factory assembled, normally open one-half inch (1/2") Ball Valve with Pneumatic Actuator and integral 24 VDC Solenoid Valve and Nema 7 Limit Switches, 8F-B8LJ2-V-SS-62AO-3-2K; CLIN 0003, 15 each - Parker Stainless Steel , Factory assembled, normally Closed one-half (1/2") Ball Valve with Pneumatic Actuator and integral 24 VDC Solenoid Valve and Nema 7 Limit Switches, 8F-B8LJ2-V-SS-62AC-3-2K; CLIN 0004, Repair Kit KIT-B8LJ2-V-SS; CLIN 0005, Shipping and Handling. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. Anticipated Award date is September 23, 2002. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, on September 19, 2002. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 5 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
