- PROJECT: NEW COMM BLDG RAF MILDENHALL, UK PART I ? DESCRIPTION OF ELEMENTS 0001 Manufacture of a complete preconstructed Steel-Building for RAF Mildenhall, UK, in accordance with the requirements set forth in Section B, consisting of the following for one (1) set: 0001AA 9 ea Wall element without openings measurement per element: 3000 x 3750mm, consisting of: thermally separated, statically determined and horizontally installed steel-polyurethane sandwich elements with also statically determined steel frames. This combination of steel frames IAW the reinforced sandwich elements forms the actual self-supporting, statically determined wall element construction. The smooth wall elements are equipped with one horizontally running lock beading every 325 mm. All elements are industrially prefabricated with a width of 3000 mm and the required element height. Steel sandwich elements IAW DIN 18 164: Minimum thickness d=62.5 mm Protection against loss of heat: Polyurethane foam Minimum heat transition coefficient: k = 0.33 W/sqm K Sheeting: steel sheet on both sides, galvanized and plastic laminated surface evened IAW DIN 18202, Part 5, sheet thickness: t = 0.6 mm (min) surface: slightly creased, grid dimension 312.5 mm, coating: polyester resin 25 my exterior color of hangar: RAL 1015, light ivory interior color of hangar: RAL 1015, light ivory The steel frame construction of the wall elements consists of galvanized special profiles with the following coating: Hangar exterior: 2 x 80 my - 1K-PVC, RAL 1015 light ivory Hangar interior: 1 x 80 my - 1K-PVC, RAL 1015 light ivory Element A IAW attached drawing. 0001AB 3 ea Wall element like item 0001AA; however with door Description of steel door: Insulated, one wing, fire retarding T 30, size: 1000 x 2187.5 mm, outside door handle make HEWI or equal product, color No 9 (dark brown) , outside color of door: RAL 8017 chocolate brown, double sheet panel, fold on three sides, thickness of sheet metal 0.88mm (min.), including interior reinforcing frame, panic hardware with panic bar and profile cylinder, panic lock like BKS 2320 PZ with function B IAW DIN 18250 Part 1 or equal product. Element B IAW attached drawing 0001AC 8 ea Wall element like item 0001AA; however with skylight window Type description of skylight window: aluminum profiles: extruded, thermally divided, surface: E6/EV1, Alu natural outside powdercoated RAL 8017 chocolate brown inside RAL 8017 chocolate brown windows: float glass with glass holding fittings and EPDM sealing profile, structure: explosion resistant glass type D1,consist of 4mm Floatglass on the outside, 16mm space, 2x4mm laminated safety glass, with foil 3mm on the inside, u=1.3W/m2K 3-parts, outer window wings as tipping wings with hand lever, middle part with fixed glazing, Window elements consisting of three (3) single windows without crossbars, with parapet coverage on inside - as well as outside window sill. Size of skylight window: (frame dimensions) width x height 3000mm x 625mm Element C IAW attached drawing 0001AD 1 ea Wall element like item 0001AA; however with steel door element size 3000 mm x 3750 mm. In the parapet area there is on glazing level a closed panel in color of the frames. Interior the door is equipped with panic hardware (bar-type handle). External there is on parapet height and on both sides a push-handle in high grade steel. The door element is equipped with an upper door closer. Window size: (frame dimensions) width x height 3000/1250mm Element G IAW attached drawing 0001AH 1 ea Wall element like item 0001AA; however with roll-up-door element size 3.00m /3.75m, description of roll-up-door: aluminum roll-up-door, double paneled, insulated, size: 3000 x 3000mm door panels of roll shaped aluminum profiles with hard foam insulation, winding shaft incl. all necessary brackets, Driven by polyphase induction motor 380V / controlling device 220V, push button controlling device UP-STOP-DOWN IAW Totmann principle. Middle lifting speed approx. 10-15cm/sec. Color of the roll-up-door: Hangar exterior: RAL 8017 chocolate brown Element H IAW attached drawing. 0001AI 4 ea Edge covers of wall element, 4 times bordered, incl. smooth color sheet, insulated construction sheet thickness: 1.5 mm (min) coating: polyester with resin: 120 my color outside: RAL 1015 light ivory color inside: RAL 1015 light ivory length: 2 x 3.75 m outer corner 2 x 3.75 m outer corner 0001AJ 7 ea Roof element (without installations) Type Description: The top and bottom parts of the roof elements with a width of 3000 mm consists of long-stalk steel sheets with trapezoidal corrugations in a galvanized and plastic-laminated structure. The exact profiling of the sheets with trapezoidal corrugations depends on the statically requirements. Integrated, galvanized and coated bearing elements as well as non-flammable heat insulation?s made out of mineral fiber IAW DIN 18 165, material class A2 IAW DIN 4102 between upper- and lower shell. The average heat transition coefficient of the roof elements shall be: k = 0.55 W/sqm k. Measurements per part: 3.00m x 18.00m Vapor-tight construction. The sheets with trapezoidal corrugations of the roof elements are to be equipped with a weather-resistant surface protection (acrylic coating 25 my) The roof elements are to be industrially prefabricated as self-bearing construction parts. (Lous span roof structure, support free) Color of roof elements: exterior RAL 8017 chocolate brown interior RAL 1015 light ivory The respective gutter and verge flashings shall be included in the roof elements . 0001AK 1 ea Roof element like item 0001AJ, however with 2 pipe penetration DN 100 ( Sewer pipe connection). Element K IAW attached drawing 0001AL 24 MR RAIN GUTTER AND FASCIA STUCCO DESSINATED, aluminum, rectangular section, 125 x 125mm Color: RAL 1015 light ivory 0001AM 10 MR DOWN SPOUTS STUCCO DESSINATED, round shaped, aluminum gutter 125mm diameter Color: RAL 1015 light ivory 0001AN 28 EA Foundation connection with steel plates water drip insulation, sealing compound and fastening material. Color: RAL 1015 0002 1 SET Preparation and delivery of statical and proved computation, incl. proof of the anchoring (windload etc.) mounting instruction, detailed material lists, and heat protection proof IAW heat protection regulations IAW DIN 4108 on inside. Foundation plan, as-built layout and detail drawings in the English and German language. 0003 LS mounting (fastening) material and small parts to the construction SECTION B- DESCRIPTIONS/SPECIFICATIONS B.1 GENERAL All items shall be new and are to be supplied from the manufacturer?s most current production and shall be in strict compliance with the item description set forth in Section B. B.2 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The specification covers the manufacturing of prefabricated steel building elements for RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. The erection and anchoring of the building take place on a concrete foundation. B.3 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Building length 24.00m Building width 18.00m Building height 3.75m Roof: 0.00 degree Roof kind: flat roof Wind load: IAW DIN 1055 Snow roof: 0,75 kN/sqm Dash pressure: None Inside temperature IAW heat protection regulation: 19 degree celsius Required delivery time: 60 calendar days The wall and roof elements are component parts of the statically determinable system. After the installation of the connection and fastening parts, these parts will guarantee a structural unit. The units of weight are stated for all component parts for technical assembly reasons. The accessories are based on the statical values of the unit parts and the technical assembly instructions. The order of parts, subject to the reasons mentioned before, requires the prefabrication of all details by one manufacturer. B.4 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: a. The contractor shall provide foundation, construction, and installation drawings b. All described parts of the system shall be delivered ready for assembling/installation including all fastening materials. c. All parts shall be marked IAW the installation drawings. d. All small parts shall be packed, and provided with a list of contents. e. The manufacturer must deliver instructions for the temporary storage for all large roofing parts. f. The contractor shall provide all required statical computations within 20 working days after contract award. g. The roof construction and roof skin shall be manufactured in accordance with: DIN 18335 Steel Construction Work DIN 18338 Roofing and Roof Sealing Work DIN 18364 Corrosion Protection Work on Steel and Aluminum Structures
