Description

NA CONTACT Thomas E. Bifulco, (732) 532-8863. This is a market research to locate additional sources for Commercial Of The Shelf (COTS) MD-1340 Modem (L3 part # 3501-01), CV-4352 up converter (L3 part # 6166-03) and CV-4353 down converter (L3 part # 6167-01) . The modem and up-down converter (packaged set) is part of the AN/TSC-85C/93C Tactical Satellite Communication Terminals. Current source for these items is L3 Communication Systems-West, Salt Lake City, UT. If any source can furnish the above modem and up-down converters they must so indicate by e-mail, phone calls will not be accepted: Thomas.Bifulco@mail1.monmouth.army.mil. The COTS modem and up-down converters must be Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) certified by the DISA Dec 96 requirement s. The response MUST include documentation detailing how the acceptance testing of this modem and up-down converters will be accomplished, the test results, copy of the DISA certification, copy of a purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to a current source or a statement from the current source demonstrating that the supplier can in fact supply the item. The modem and up-down converter packaged set is form, fit and functionally interchangeable at the unit level (maintenance concept is to remove and replace at the chassis level any repair below the chassis will be performed by the contractor) with the legacy items. In addition the supplier will be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intende d by the Army. The deadline for response to this notice is 20 September 2002.
