- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item modified and prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a hardcopy solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation Number is USZA22-02-T-0024. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-09. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 336120 and the Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. The proposed contract listed here is 100%Small Business Set Aside. The commercial item (modified) to be quoted is ? One (1) Container Chassis Trailer with air ride suspension designed to transport two (2) 20 foot cargo containers having Maximum gross weight of 76,000 pounds in both highway and TOFC service. Trailer includes Suspension: Neway RL-228-8 Air Ride; Axles: 5 inch round axle, 25,000# beam rating, 71 ? inch track; Wheels: Webb Brand 8.25x22.5 hub piloted Disc wheels; Tires: Firestone FT 455 11R22.5 load range G; Electrical: Peterson Harness and lights; Paint: Black polyurethane top coat and zinc rich epoxy primer; Spare Tire and Wheel (mounted), including spare wheel assembly mounting rack. Chassis must meet all DOT, AAR, ANSI, TOFC, FMVSS, ISO, SAE, and TTMA requirements and specifications to operate in the U.S.A. Interested offerors must request full specifications from POC below. The Government requires a pre-delivery inspection prior to shipment. FOB Destination is desired not later than October 7, 2002. Request delivery/transportation price from Origin to Bluegrass Station, Lexington, Kentucky be separately priced.
