Description

THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. The Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina is seeking potential sources to provide the design and/or construction or a new grit removal system that will catch, clean and collect the grit that enters the Cherry Point sewage collection system at Pump Station #4259. The normal flow rate at the pump station is generally in the 0.5 to 2.0 mgd range; however, grit removal design shall accommmodate flow rates in the range of 0 to 10.0 mgd. the initial assumption is that the system shall be capable of consistently removing 95% of 100 micron size and larger grit. The primary concern will be the detailed description of a post construction procedure for verifying that the actual percentage of grit removed is as specified. Respondents are asked to provide information about their technical knowledge and capabilities to provide the services being sought and completion of similar type projects. This is for information gathering only and if further procurement action is taken, additional publications will be issued as required. Responses shall be sent to CG, MCAS, Cherry Point, Facilities, OIC, NAVFAC Contracts, Building 163, Curtis Road, P. O. Box 8006, Cherry Point, North Carolina 28533-0006 and received no later than 4:00 p.m. on 1 October 2002 (closing date). THIS NOTICE/INFORMATION IS BEING SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS.
