- This is a Sources Sought Notice to the previous notice posted 21 December 1999 under Solicitation Number: Reference-Number-A-76-LGCB. The 100th Air Refueling Wing (ARW) Manpower and Organization Office at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom is seeking potential sources under OMB Circular A-76 Cost Comparison Studies to conduct commercial management, operations, and maintenance of the Transportation and Supply groups at RAFs Croughton and Molesworth/Alconbury/Upwood in the United Kingdom. RAF Fairford/Welford has been removed from the original requirement. The work requires the following for each activity: 1. Transportation - operate vehicles in support of the base mission; manage registered vehicles and fleet records; maintain a central dispatch operation; manage vehicle licensing and qualification; perform vehicle and equipment maintenance; and provide a full range of services in the movement of personnel and their property, to include packing and crating as well as the movement of inbound and outbound surface freight; and 2. Supply - provide a full range of services involving the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, and inventory of all supplies and equipment. The company must have the infrastructure and work force to support operations at the locations listed above. The period of performance for this service will be for one basic year with four (4) one-year option periods. Contract start will be July 2002. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this Sources Sought Notice. Any company interested in submitting information about their company or providing a point of contact when bids are released should send it to the attention of Mr Paul Violette - 48th Contracting Squadron. Do not send information via United Postal Service or Federal Express if using the APO address listed. No telephone or facsimile information will be accepted. The U.S. Government will not pay for information received. However, everything submitted will become the property of the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to retain the work in-house and make no contract award.
