Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (CSS) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 1.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constit utes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2001-09)(30 August 02) a nd Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) current to DCN 20020730 edition. It is anticipated that payment will be made by Government Visa Credit Card. This acquisition is a 100 % small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Class ification Code (SIC) is 3272 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 327390 with a size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is for 80 each 10 foot long pre-cast concrete Jersey Barriers. Each barrier shall be 4,000 P.S.I. compressive strength at 28 days. The barriers shall be 30 inches tall, the base width shall be 24 inches and the minimum for the top of the barrier thickness is 6 inches. The base shall be transitioned from 24 inches to 10 inches. A drawing of the requ ired barrier will be posted on the US Army Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma Contracting Division web site at http://www.yuma.army.mil/contracting/ for review. Each Offeror shall provide technical specifications sheets and a shop drawing of their proposed barrier for technical review and acceptance by the Government. This requirement is currently subject to availability of fiscal year 2002 funds and may be funded by 30 September 2002. In the event that the funding do not come in, this requirement will be funded with FY 2003 funds. Therefore it is requested that all offerors hold their bid prices for a period of 90 days. All quotes shall be clearly marked with the solicitation number and emailed to Pamela.nevels@yuma.army.mil or fax (928) 328-6849 no later than 4:30 PM Mountain Standard Time on 23 September 2002. The Government will award a contract resulting from this CSS to the responsible Offeror whose proposal conforming to this CSS will be most advantageous to the Government. The Government will evaluate t he technical specifications, past performance and price to determine the successful Offeror. The Offeror shall provide past performance on at least three other contracts for the same or similar items in accordance with FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items. Offerors that fail to furnish required representations of information as required by FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, and 242.212-7001 cited below, or rejects the terms and conditions of this CSS may be excluded from consideration.
