- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service has a requirement for janitorial services at the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in Riverton, WY. The services are for a base period of twelve (12)-months effective 10/01/02 - 09/30/03, with two (2) additional twelve (12)-month option periods. The Contractor shall be responsible for satisfactorily managing and performing cleaning services Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. All equipment, materials, and supplies shall be furnished by the Contractor (i.e., brooms, mops, scrubbers, cleaning solutions, etc.) Excluding garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap. All supplies shall be properly stored in an area designated by the Meteorologist in Charge (MIC). The schedule of work consists of: 1) daily work including sweeping or dust moping all uncarpeted floors including hallways and foyers, vacuuming all carpeted floors, vacuuming or cleaning indoor and outdoor entrance mats, emptying all waste receptacles, wet moping restroom floors, cleaning counter tops, cleaning and disinfecting drinking fountain and dusting; 2) weekly duties include damp mopping, vacuuming, washing glass entrance doors, cleaning and scouring break room sinks and cleaning an scouring storeroom sinks; 3) monthly duties include buffing and spot waxing traffic areas, spot cleaning doors, walls, painted surfaces and ledges to remove fingerprints, marks, etc. and remove spots and stains from carpeted areas; 4) quarterly duties consist of washing off all clocks, thoroughly cleaning and dusting all Venetian blinds, etc.; semiannual duties include washing all exterior windows, etc.; 5) annual duties include cleaning all carpeted areas, all ceramic tile floors, etc.; and additional work on an as-needed basis. All interested parties may request a copy of the RFQ by referencing No. NWWR9576-3-00001PAY. This is considered to be a commercial item buy. The RFQ will close on September 23, 2002. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
