- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons hereby announces its intent to award a sole source purchase for the acquisition of commercial items under simplified acquisition procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and the Government does not intent to issue a written solicitation. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation - ITA-2002-0382. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 01-09. The North American Industry Classification Code is 541511. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Isogon Corporation, 330 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001. The requirement consists of system engineering support of the Intercomm software for the Federal Bureau of Prisons SENTRY system. The contractor will provide 15 days of Intercomm system software support to numerous Intercomm modules in support of the SENTRY Extended Security System. These changes will become part of the base program code and will be incorporated in all future updates and releases of Intercomm to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Intercomm is a proprietary system to Isogon Corporation. Delivery shall begin immediately after the applicable security clearances are initiated and the Contracting Officer has issued a notice to proceed. All tasks shall be completed within 90 days of contract award. The contractor will be reimbursed for travel costs in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency. The following FAR clauses are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items (Feb 2002) and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items (May 2002). Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items (July 2002) with its offer. The following provision is applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000). All offers shall be submitted to the address listed no later than September 19, 2002) 1:00pm local time (Washington, DC). All proposals shall be clearly marked with RFQ ITA-2002-0382. All offerors are hereby notified that if your offer is not received by the date/time and at the location specified in this notice, it will not be considered.
