Description

The United States Marshals Service (USMS), Department of Justice intends to contract with the Austin American Statesman, Austin, Texas for the advertisement of legal notices on judicial cases involved in Asset Forfeiture. It is required that the newspaper must be of general circulation and the approved advertising must advertise the required time, dependent upon the legal notice, in the Sunday Newspaper. Legal Notices are part of the Court documents that are ordered by the judge. The Western District of Texas does not consider the small legal publications to be in general circulation. The Austin American Statesman, Austin, Texas newspaper is the only known source that has been identified as capable of providing the advertising in the Austin, Texas and surrounding areas for the required time. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all inquiries received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
