- Description
- The Naval Inventory Control Point Mechanicsburg intends to procure on a brand-name basis commercially available information technology software. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business, will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13, and will lead to a firm-fixed price contract for Syncsort Backup Express. NAICS code: 511210; Small business size standard: $21 Million.Interested Vendors responding to this RFQ must be a Syncsort-authorized reseller. The required software is as follows: AIT-3 Tape Library Support, 60 Tape Slots, Base License, System Key for UNIX, Annual Software Maintenance (quote basic option and premium option). Quantity (1): Within 30 Days After Receipt of Order, FOB destination; Tinker Air Force Base; Attn: L. Thompson; OC-ALC/TILDOS; 3001 Staff Drive, Suite 1AB81A; Oklahoma City, OK 73145-3041. Quantity (1): Within 60 Days After Receipt of Orde r, FOB destination; Hill Air Force Base (OO-ALC); OO-ALC/TIEDE (Attn: T. Waggoner); 6032 Fir Avenue, Bldg. 1237; Ogden, UT 84056-5820. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES FOR OTHER THAN SYNCSORT BRAND NAME ITEMS. The use of a brand name description in this acquisition is essential to the Government's requirements, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured by another company at this time. Syncsort Backup Express has undergone extensive integration testing at the JEDMICS test facilities at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (WR-ALC), Georgia, the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Huntsville, Alabama and the integration test facility in McLean, Virginia. Syncsort Backup Express is the only currently acceptable tape management software that is JEDMICS-compatible. All responsive, responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considere d for evaluation. All quotations must be e-mailed in the form of a Microsoft Word or Excel format to <Daniel_f_mcmullan@icpmech.navy.mil>. All quotations are due by 4:00 p.m. EDT, 18 September 2002.
