- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, San Juan, PR has the requirement for Building Cleaning & Maintenance Services (Janitorial Services). The offerors shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, supplies, and supervision to render complete Building Cleaning & Maintenance Services at the VA Medical Center Building (VAMC) 1st floor including VA District Counsel Building (VADC), and VA Outpatient Additional Building (OPA), VA Nursing Home Care Unit Building (VA NHCU) located at Calle Casia, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00921 and Mayaguez Outpatient Clinic (MOPC) located at Avenida De Hostos State Road #2 Km. 156.2 Mayaguez, Puerto Rico 00680-150710. Contract solicitation documents, clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. This action is 100% set aside for small business. Offers are solicited only from small business concerns expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program and which meet the criteria at the time of submission of offer in accordance with FAR 52.219-18 NOTIFICATION OF COMPETITION LIMITED TO ELIGIBLE 8(A) CONCERNS (JUNE 1999). The applicable NAIC is 561720 and the small business size standard is $12.0 Million. Availability of this solicitation will be limited for viewing and downloading, free of charge via http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ on September 16, 2002 and the due date to submit the offers for this proposal is on September 26, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. America Puerto Rico_Time. Term of Contract: the period of performance shall begin on October 1, 2002 or the date of contract award whichever is later and continue through September 30, 2003. The contract includes one 12-month option, which the Government may (or may not) exercise on a unilateral basis. Type of Contract: VA anticipates award of a Firm-Fixed Price Performance Based contract based on the contents of this RFP solicitation. All contractual and technical questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing and may be faxed to (787) 641-8364 attention to Mr. Rey F. Clemente, Contracting Officer. No telephone or e-mail questions will be accepted. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will only be posted on the aforementioned website. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually view the aforementioned website for any amendments made to the solicitation. Detailed information will be provided in the solicitation.
