Description

This is an amendment to all responsible potential contractors interested in submitting a bid for the Solicitation F61040-02-Q-0027 (Purchase of Brushless Revolving Generator). Several questions have been received regarding this solicitation. The answers are included the following specifications: CODE: 8P7-2300, TYPE: 8 POLE, 750 RPM, ELECTRICAL RATING: 850 KW, 1062 KVA, .8 P.F. 3 PHASE, 50 HERTZ, 3984/6900 VOLTS; CONNECTION: 6 WIRE, WYE, TEMPERTURE RISE: 70 DEG. C/50 DEG. C AMB. BY RES, DUTY: CONTINOUS, INSULATION: CLASS F, BEARING DESIGN: ONE SPLIT ROLLER, ENCLOSURE: OPEN DRIPPROOF, GENERATOR IS OF SINGLE BEARING DESIGN, WITH FORGED FLANGED SHAFT (HALF COUPLING). THE FOLLOWING ACCESSORIES ARE REQUIRED: VOLTAGE REGULATOR 3 PHASE SENSING +/- ? % REGULATION POWER ISOLATION TRANSFORMER FOR REGULATOR CROSS CURRENT COMPENSATION CT FOR PARALLEL OPERATION MIL STD 461C, PART 9, EMI SUPPRESSION FORGED FLANGED SHAFT SIX (6) IRON CONSTANTAN THERMOCOULPLES SPARE ROTATING RECTIFIERS & SURGE SUPPRESSOR; GENERATOR IS TO BE DRIVEN BY EMD 12-645 DIESEL PRIME MOVER. AN ENGINE IS NOT REQUIRED. THE GENERATOR MUST OPERATE ON 50 HERTZ CYCLES.
