Description
NA MARKET SURVEY to identify potential contractors wanting to become successful contenders for work related to the acquisition, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of Artillery and Mortar Fire Control components and systems. Must possess, and be able to demons trate skills commensurate with the following tasks and equipment: Machined part component manufacturing of end-items and spare parts from metal castings and raw stock materials to 0.0001 inch tolerances; Assembly and adjustment of military grade optical and mechanical combined assemblies and components culminating in final form and function relative to Azimuth reading and adjustable Panoramic Telescopes, Straight and Elbow Telescopes, Elevation Quadrants, Telescope Mounts, and Azimuth and Elevation Counte r assemblies; Working knowledge and past history of optical and mechanical alignment theory resulting in the ability to assemble and qualify instruments in accordance with military and commercial specifications and standards; Historical working and past performance knowledge of Cross Leveling and Azimuth Test Fixtures, Collimators, Collimating Telescopes, Optical Reticle assemblies and dioptometers or a fully developed capability of assembly and final test procedures resulting in the same end result quali fications of opto-mechanical assemblies. The above mentioned equipment should be on hand or readily available at time of bid; Must be adaptable to short run production if immediate small jobs are required to support Government needs; Have a Quality System in place that demonstrates full compliance with ISO 9002 or higher Quality System and be able to demonstrate customer satisfaction characteristics; An approved and in-place license for the storage and handling of radioactive tritium is required for certai n fire control commodities and assemblies. Failure to have an approved license shall not be a disqualification for bidding, however it may limit the types and amounts of work available for bid. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to thi s notice. This is not a solicitation and the Government is not obligated on this notice.
