Description

This is a combined synopsis/Request for Proposal (RFP) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and therefore, a formal solicitation will not be issued. This announcement constitutes the solicitation. Proposals are solicited with this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08 and items II and items III of Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. This procurement is set aside for exclusive participation of Small Businesses The applicable NAICS code is 334220, Size standard number of employees of 750. The Television-Audio Support Activity intends to procure the following: 20 EACH, CAMERA PEDESTAL SYSTEM, MODEL PRO-PED, VINTEN BROADCAST, INC., PART NUMBER 3381-3C WITH THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS VISION 250? GREY PAN AND TILT VIDEO HEAD WITH FLAT BASE; PART NUMBER: 3525-3F: AND TELESCOPIC PAN BAR AND CLAMP; PART NUMBER 3219-69; PEDESTAL DOLLY IS SUPPLIED WITH TRACK LOCKS AND CABLE GUARDS FOR STUDIO USE. THE VINTEN BROADCAST BRAND NAME AND PART NUMBERS ARE PROVIDED AS REFERRENCE ONLY AND NOT CONSIDERED ALL INCLUSIVE. OFFEROR PROPOSING TO PROVIDE OTHERTHAN THE REQUESTED ITEMS SHALL INCLUDE SPECIFICATION DATA SUFFICIENT TO ENABLE THE GOVERNMENT TO DETERMINE THAT THE OFFERED ITEMS ARE EQUIVALENT TO THE ITEMS IDENTIFIED IN THE SOLICITATION. OFFERORS SHALL FURNISH MANUFACTURER NAME AND MODEL PART NUMBER OF ITEMS PROPOSED; FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN REJECTION OF THE PROPOSAL AS UNACCEPTABLE.. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The brand name and part number are provided for reference only. The evaluation criteria for this solicitation will consist of lowest priced technically acceptable offer with acceptable past performance. Offerors proposing to provide other than the requested items shall include specification data sufficient to enable the Government to determine the capability of the offered items to meet the requirements stated above and in the specifications. Responses to this notice should be provided in writing by 23 SEPTEMBER 2002, 4:00 PM PDT.
