Description

The HQ Air Intelligence Agency Contracting Flight at Lackland AFB (Kelly Annex), TX intends to award a Purchase Order to Powerware Corporation, 8609 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh NC 27615, on a SOLE SOURCE BASIS (due to a jointly connected project with OO-ALC/LIPC Office, Hill AFB regarding a contract currently in place ensuring continuity and standardization between projects), pursuant to FAR 12 and 13 for the Removal/Installation/Certification of Wet Cell Battery UPS System. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and Other Than Full and Open Competition in accordance with (10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1)) (SOLE SOURCE) FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)(B). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice: SPECIFICATIONS: Remove SD Batteries, provide EPA disposal of SD Batteries; Provide and install 188 ea Flooded (Wet Cell) Batteries of Enersys (Yuasa) Model 4-DX-5B with 4 spares (provide IEEE Certification); Provide and install a Spill Containment Kit (Enersys Cat #853054); Provide and install a Safety Shower and Eyewash combination (Enersys Cat #EXSEW-500); Provide a Hazardous Location Exhaust Fan (Grainger Cat #4C370 w 6D584 intake guard and 4C588 Wall Shutter; Provide and Install a Pro Alarm Dual Relay Hydrogen Detector. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, a written solicitation will not be issued. Place of Delivery is 690 ISS/DON, Lackland AFB (Kelly Annex) Texas. The invoices shall be sent to: DFAS-SA/FPD, 500 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX 78215. Payment of invoices will also be made by DFAS-SA/FPD. The estimated completion date of all requirements listed is 30 Oct 02.
