ALL-OR-NONE. MUST MEET ALL SPECIFICATIONS. LOWEST PRICE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE (LPTA). Required Delivery Date : 12/09/2002. The Provisions of the Service Contract Act of 1965 may apply to this solicitation and any resulting purchase order. If a wage determination by the Department of Labor is issued, the order resulting from this RFQ will be modified to incorporate the applicable wage determination. Dept. of State P.O.C.: Kevin T. Code Training Life Safety Code (Statement of Work) USDOS SA-6 Fort Myer Drive 1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION The United States Department of State (DOS) requires professional services to train Fire Protection personnel in Life Safety Code (NFPA 101)and building code (IBC). The Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) requires the training to ensure Fire Protection Officer knowledge and certification of codes used for overseas evaluation of all USG mission buildings. 2.0 PROJECT REQUIREMENTS 2.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE EFFORT: Contractor will develop a training program including elements of Power Point presentations, to enhance the instruction from NFPA code manuals. Provide two engineering experts for classroom training of the prescriptive codes, to include workshops and alternative approaches devoted to performance based applications where existing structures do not meet code. 2.2 OUTLINE: 2.2.1 Meet with OBO/OM/FIR personnel at OBO offices in Rosslyn, VA to review development objectives.. 2.2.2 Meet with OBO/OM/FIR personnel at OBO offices in Rosslyn, VA to review the draft development and lesson plan. Suggest revisions to program 2.2.3 Provide a minimum of two experts for five (5) days instruction, including three days of code training and two days of workshops, with one workshop period to include an evaluation test for attendees. 2.2.4 Provide workbooks and Power Point handouts for the accepted course material.
