Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotation has been requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08, dated July 29, 2002. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 421830. Offeror that intend to submit a proposal as a small business must have a no more than 100 people employed by the offeror. Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service, 401 14th Street, SW, Washington, DC, 20227, intends issued a sole source award to Valco Cincinnati, Inc., A purchase order will be issued for the purchase of a High-Speed Precision Gumming Inspection System, which includes items for Control & Cables, Bracket/Valve (Quantity 2), Hack Assemblies (Quantity 2) Fluid Regulation, Air Handling, Alarm Beacon and Brackets. This System is for our F.L. Smithe Check Wrapper Machine. We will be utilizing simplified acquisition procedures and provisions and clauses for Commercial Items. Delivery shall be within 5 to 6 weeks upon receipt of order. Quotation will be to total System, including freight and all installation charges. Government will not reimburse the Offeror for travel as related to the fulfillment of this requirement. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition is hereby incorporated by reference. The government will award a commercial item purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to the sole source. The offer will be evaluated on the basis of whether it meets the requirement and price. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items must be completed and returned with offer. The clauses may be viewed at http://www.arnet.gov/far. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items - February 2002 and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items - May 2002 apply to this solicitation. Offers must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. eastern standard time, August 4, 2002. Responses must be in writing and must be received by the due date and time. Interested vendors who can meet the above requirements should submit their quote, FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, and Dun & Bradstreet Number. Additionally, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) to receive electronic transfer of funds prior to award of an order.
