Description
DTCG87-03-Q-643007. Shoal Cove Tower Maintenance at USCG Loran Station, Shoal Cove, Alaska. The intent of the contract is to inspect and conduct maintenance on the four 700-foot towers of the Shoal Cove sectionalized LORAN-C transmitting (SLT) antenna system. The SLT antenna consists of four identical cable panels supported by the towers. The backstays and towers are insulated from the cable panels. Each galvanized steel tower has a 7-foot face width and is supported by three lanes of nine insulated guys. Alignment and tension data that was taken in May 2002 will be provided in the Solicitation package. Work includes inspection of towers and tower bases, guys, backstays, antenna panels, guy anchors, & strobe lighting system; adjusting of guy tensions and alignment of towers; maintenance of strobe lighting system; and providing a tower inspection report. The desired start work date is late October 2002 with a 30 day performance period. Lodging and three meals per day are available at the Station at a rate of $10 per person per day for a maximum of 5 persons. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 234920 and the applicable size standard is $27.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. This procurement is being issued on an unrestricted basis. All responsible sources may submit a quote. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Telephone requests will not be accepted. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings may be accessed for download beginning on the date of issue (estimated to be October 4, 2002) from the Government-wide Electronic Posting System website (FedBizOpps) at http://www.eps.gov. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted solely on that website. Prospective quoters are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the due date and time for quotes.
